BWW Review: CSO and Graf Make Debussy's FAUN a Dynamic Prelude

With Hans Graf at the podium for the first time at Knight Theater, Charlotte Symphony and guest artist Angelo Xiang Yu were in top form on a program highlighted by Debussy's 'L'Après-midi,' Mozart's 'Turkish' Concerto, and a snippet of Piazzolla.

BWW Review: CSO Takes Flight With STRAVINSKY FIREBIRD

Charlotte Symphony continued its skein all-Russian concerts with somewhat diminished returns as they failed to conquer Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain for the third time in the last 10 years, but with Christopher James Lee wielding the baton with more controlled fury, they slayed with Stravinsky's FIREBIRD Suite.

BWW Review: The Central New York Playhouse Presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY

The iconic creepy and mostly kooky family is now entertaining audiences at The Central New York Playhouse under the direction of Bella Lupia and music direction by Abel Searor. The familiar family effortlessly comes to life with spot on casting and gorgeous costumes. The new musical, with a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, comes to the Central New York Playhouse just in time for Halloween.

BWW Review: THE PRODUCERS Sizzles with Talent at the Central New York Playhouse

The Central New York (CNY) Playhouse is now entertaining audiences with its hilarious production of the record-breaking Tony Award-winning musical comedy, Producers. Sizzling with local talent under the superb direction of Dustin M. Czarny, the choreography, the casting, the sets, and, of course, the material itself does not disappoint.

BWW Review: The Wingless Beauty of BIRDS OF PARADISE at Theater For The New City

Written by Solnik, directed by Nikki Reed and presented by Executive Artistic Director Crystal Fields, "Birds of Paradise" is being performed in the East Village for a very limited run. With opening night this past Thursday and running only through July 14th, this show is definitely one I recommend seeing. With a rather clever plot that is as touching as it is on the constant brink of drama, "Birds of Paradise" is now one of my favorite of Solnik's productions.
