The Crazy Coqs Presents: Pride at the Musicals

Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical announced today that the Tony Award winning actor, Grammy Nominee, singer/songwriter, Lena Hall, will star as 'Sloane,' completing the cast of the critically acclaimed, thrilling new musical based on one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Bat Out of Hell's German production had a lot to live up to, after the upcoming New York production plastered its billboards all over Times Square earlier this week. To generate the same level of hype, the cast took to the local shopping mall at Centro Oberhausen to create a flash mob!

The Crazy Coqs Presents: Rodgers & Hammerstein - A Musical Celebration for Mother's Day - Sunday 31st March at 7pm.

On Sunday 10th March, West End Live Lounge returns to The Other Palace with WOMAN- an evening celebrating some of the most influential female artists from the world of music.

Paul Taylor-Mills has announced full casting for the Taster Menu series of new musicals featuring as part of MT Fest UK. Playing at The Other Palace from Monday 11 to Saturday 23 February, the series will showcase eight new musicals through 45-minute semi-staged sharings.

The Crazy Coqs Presents Concert Series Live at Zedel is presented on the last Sunday of every month. Each show features 5, sometimes 6 West End performers singing songs based on the theme of the night. Past themes have included Classic Musicals, LGBT Musicals, Disney, A New Writers' Showcase, 80s Movie Songs and Pasek & Paul. Performers so far have included Tom Hier, Gemma Sutton, Carolyn Maitland, David Shannon, Rebecca Trehearn, Paul Monaghan, Andy Coxon, Lewis Asquith, Belinda Wollaston, Jane Milligan, Chloe Hart, Charlotte Wakefield, Charlotte Jaconelli, Edward Baruwa, Michael Vinsen, Nathaniel Morrison, Nadim Naaman, Oliver Savile, Lauren James Ray, Christina Bennington, Suzie Mathers, Sophie Isaacs, Simon-Anthony Rhoden, Claudia Kariuki, Vicki Lee Taylor, Matthew Croke and Danny Becker.

Fresh off the Bat Out of Hell rollercoaster, Christina Bennington plays her first solo concerts to a full house at The Crazy Coqs. This 'deep dive into all parts of [her] voice,' as Bennington described it, treats fans to 16 songs of varied styles and characters which beautifully showcase her range as a performer.

A host of West End stars have recorded a festive cover of Carole King's You've Got A Friend, to raise money for children's charity, Barnardo's.

The award-winning Bat Out of Hell - The Musical at Dominion Theatre closes on  5 January, 2019 so we went backstage with Christina Bennington - who plays Raven - to find out what it is like to be in the show and hear what she's up to next. Watch the video below!

Actress and Singer Christina Bennington today announces two special guests to join her this January for her debut London concerts at Crazy Coqs, Brasserie Zédel. Danielle Steers, who currently shares the stage with Christina in Bat Out of Hell, and Daniel Buckley, who appeared in Eugenius! The Musical at The Other Palace, will join her on stage for both shows on Monday January 7th 2019, 7pm and 9.15pm.

From rock to Rogers and Hammerstein, actress and singer Christina Bennington is widely considered to be among the most versatile of the West End's leading ladies. Currently starring as Raven in Bat Out Of Hell at London's Dominion Theatre, she is equally at home singing the classics. An Irish songstress with an enviable range, Christina will be treating Zedel's audiences to a selection of the best of musical theatre through the ages at two concerts in their intimate Crazy Coqs venue on Monday January 7th 2019, 7pm and 9.15pm.

Launching in June 'The Crazy Coqs Presents' is a new monthly showcase each with a different them hosted by lyricist Mark Petty, one half of the transatlantic writing team of Anderson & Petty. Show themes so far have included 'Classic Songs from the Musicals', 'Pride at the Musicals', 'The Disney Show' and last month 'The New Musical Theatre Showcase' which featured new material from Anderson & Petty, Kansley & Lidert, Oliver Boito, Kate Marlais & Alex Young and Webborn & Finn. These concerts have featured the cream of the West End including Rebecca Trehearn, Christina Bennington, Oliver Savile, Nadim Naaman, Charlotte Wakefield, David Shannon, Carolyn Maitland, Andy Coxon, Jane Milligan, Chloe Hart, Charlotte Jaconelli and Edward Baruwa to name but a few.

Leading West End performers Oliver Savile (Wicked), Christina Bennington (Bat Out Of Hell), Nadim Naaman (Phantom of the Opera) & Charlotte Wakefield (Crazy For You) performed 3 songs from Oliver Boito's debut EP Notes Of Love at Crazy Coqs as part of an evening of new Musical Theatre on Sunday 16th September 2018.
