Lifeline Theatre has revealed its 2023-24 season of Big Stories, Up Close. It’s an exciting year of unforgettable stories brought to life, from beloved classics to modern titles.

Lifeline Theatre will welcome Addoris Davis as Production Manager and John Craig as Operations Manager, beginning in May 2023.  Reporting to Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan and working in partnership with the Operations Manager, Davis will be responsible for managing the overall production of all of Lifeline’s programming.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company have announced the cast, creative and production teams for the final production of its 2022-2023 season, the world premiere of Galileo’s Daughter by Jessica Dickey and directed by Marti Lyons, April 5 - May 14, at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Avenue.

Lifeline Theatre welcomes Paige Keedy as Production Manager, Nathan Crawford as Operations Manager/Accessibility Coordinator, and Merissa Stewart as Education Director, beginning in Summer 2022.  Reporting to Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan and working in partnership with the Operations Manager, Keedy will be responsible for managing the overall production of all of Lifeline's programming.

The 2022-23 MainStage season features the Midwest premiere sequel Miss Holmes Returns, followed by a retelling of Dr. Endesha Ida Mae Holland’s From the Mississippi Delta.

​​​​​​​Lifeline Theatre welcomes Amelia Ablan to her new staff position as Production Manager, beginning June 2021. Reporting directly to Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan and Managing Director Allison Cain, Ablan will be responsible for overseeing the production processes for the company, collaborating closely with directors and the Artistic Director to fulfill the production needs for Lifeline's future live and digital programming.  Ablan succeeds Jennifer McClendon, who served as Production Manager since 2016, now heading to Providence, Rhode Island to Trinity Repertory Company as their new Producing Director.

LifelineTheatre presents Frankenstein, adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Paul S. Holmquist. In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, Kauzlaric and Holmquist, creators of The Island of Dr. Moreau in 2007 (winner of five Non-Equity Jeff Awards, including Production-Play and New Adaptation), return to the world of psychological suspense.

Lifeline Theatre welcomes ensemble member Andres Enriquez to his new staff position as casting director, beginning February 2018. Reporting directly to Artistic Director Dorothy Milne and Managing Director Allison Cain, Enriquez will be responsible for overseeing the audition processes for the company, collaborating closely with directors to fulfill the casting needs for Lifeline's three MainStage and three KidSeries productions every season.

Lifeline Theatre is proud to announce six new members of its artistic ensemble: Bilal Dardai, Andr s Enriquez, Diane D. Fairchild, Anthony Kayer, Martel Manning, and Michael McKeogh. Lifeline's ensemble determines the company's artistic programming and provides leadership, support, and counsel in the play development process.

The Factory Theater presents the first production of its 25th anniversary season, the world premiere of Captain Steve's Caring Kingdom, playing at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St., October 27 December 9. The new play is both written and directed by Company Member Mike Ooi. Previews are Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. The regular run, November 3 December 9, is Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for previews, $18 for students and seniors and $25 for general admission. Lifeline Theatre presents the world premiere of Her Majesty's Will, adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric (Non-Equity Jeff Awards: New Adaptation, The Island of Dr. Moreau and Neverwhere), and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Chris Hainsworth, based on the 2013 novel by Chicago-based author/actor/fight choreographer (and Rogers Park resident) David Blixt, who will design the violence for the production. Strawdog Theatre Company is proud to announce the second production in its 2016 - 2017 season, William Shakespeare's CymbelIne, January 13 - February 25, directed by Robert Kauzlaric and performed at The Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Opening Night is Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m.
