The Young Vic today announces the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Chasing Hares, a new play by award-winning playwright Sonali Bhattacharyya (Two Billion Beats) and directed by Milli Bhatia (seven methods of killing kylie jenner). The play, set between the UK and West Bengal, considers the power of storytelling in the struggle for a fairer world.

Chichester Festival Theatre welcomes their 60th Anniversary season with The Taxidermist’s Daughter, a gothic tale of revenge set across the Sussex marshes in 1912. Adapted from her best-selling novel, author Kate Mosse has transported her literary vision to the stage in the very heart of the town that she grew up in. The novel is oozing with narrative potential and moody landscape, but surprisingly Chichester’s adaptation felt underwhelming.

Headlong and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse have today announced the complete cast and creative team for Corrina, Corrina, a new play by award-winning Liverpool-based playwright Chloe Moss (Run Sister, Run, Love Liverpool), directed by Headlong’s Artistic Director Holly Race Roughan (Metamorphoses).

Nimmo Ismail’s production opens on 9 February, with previews from 5 February, and runs until 5 March, with a livestreamed performance via OT on Screen on 24 February, also available on demand 8-11 March. 

The Orange Tree Theatre today announces the full cast for the world première of Sonali Bhattacharyya's Two Billion Beats - Anoushka Chadha (Bettina) and Safiyya Ingar (Asha).

Production images are released today for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s 2021 pantomime Aladdin, written by Vikki Stone and directed by Abigail Graham, ahead of opening night on 27 November.

Rehearsal images have been released for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre’s 12th annual panto Aladdin, a magical new adaptation written by award-winning comedian, actor and composer Vikki Stone, directed by Abigail Graham, running at the West London venue from 19 November 2021 to 02 January 2022, with opening night on 27 November.

Milk and Gall exposes the messy reality of new motherhood in the shadow of one of the most divisive moments in modern American history. It is a theatrically dazzling, surreal and funny new play about the overnight birth of two screaming tyrants, and the shattered identity left in their wake.

Qasim Mahmood plays Aladdin in this magical new adaptation by award-winning comedian, actor and composer Vikki Stone who returns to write her debut pantomime for the Lyric following critically acclaimed appearances as Abanazar in Aladdin in 2016 and Fleshcreep in Jack and the Beanstalk in 2017.

Sweet peas in the garden; homemade lemon curd in the kitchen; conjugal joy in the bedroom. Judy (Sandy Foster) and Johnny (Tom Kanji) seem to be the perfect couple - quite sickeningly happy, in fact. But is their marriage everything it seems? Are there cracks in their domestic bliss? And where do they go when the manners and morals of the 1950s don't quite suit them?

The third and final production of the Newbury’s The Watermill Theatre 2021 outdoor summer season, a semi-staged concert of Stiles & Drewe’s family musical JUST SO, inspired by the stories of Rudyard Kipling, opened on the main lawn Friday 30 July, and will play until Saturday 4 September.

The cast includes Laura Andresen Guimarães  as ‘Zebra’ and Kemi Clarke as ‘Leopard’, alongside Alexander Bean as ‘Rhino’, Nathanael Campbell as ‘Eldest Magician’, Dan de Cruz as ‘Parsee Man / Jaguar / Show MD’, Eleanor Kane as ‘Elephant Child’, Emma Lucia as ‘Kolokolo Bird’, Pete Mooney as ‘Kangaroo / Cooking Stove’ and Emma Jane Morton as ‘Giraffe / Yellow Dingo Dog’.

The full company has been confirmed for the world premiere of Zoe Cooper's new play The Flock, which runs at Chichester Festival Theatre's Minerva Theatre from 6 – 28 August, with a press night on 12 August.

Casting has been announced for Home, I'm Darling at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, a co-production with the Octagon Theatre Bolton and Theatre by the Lake, Keswick.

Today, The Old Vic and Shoreditch Town Hall announce this year's Old Vic 12 – a group of writers, producers, directors  and creatives who, since March, have been working together digitally and in person, in line with social distancing, to  create three new pieces of work.  

Presented by Defibrillator, in conjunction with The Actors' Centre, Gemma Lawrence's new play Sunnymead Court is a two-hander tale for our times. When Marie, thin, nervy, introverted, states she dreams of becoming a brain in a jar without the burden of a physical body, we know she will have problems reaching out for real contact. A regular piece of music she plays brings Stella, a confident and ongoing person who just wants to get sweaty again dancing with her mates.

The Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Yellow Earth Theatre, and Tamasha will present the online premiere of their 2019 production Under the Umbrella, which will be streamed via the Belgrade Theatre's YouTube Channel from 22-29 May 2020. 

This spring, the acclaimed Watermill Ensemble presents a bold, innovative all-female production of Shakespeare's timeless tragedy, Hamlet. Underscored with live music, played by the cast, The Watermill's resident company applying their collaborative style to Shakespeare's most enduring play.

Ali Barouti, Alexandra Gilbreath, John Hollingworth and Jessica Rhodes will appear in the first major London revival of Lucy Prebble's debut play THE SUGAR SYNDROME, directed by Oscar Toeman, runner up for the JMK Award 2019 with designer Rebecca Brower.
