The notation on Charlie Romo's chart (arrangement) said it best. 'As performed by Bobby Darin' . Instead of the 1960's announcers off stage intro of Bobby at the Copacabana in the 1960's it was Daniel Dunlow up front with his great humor and enthusiasm bringing on the main attraction, Charlie Romo. With the 7 piece band blaring out the the opening up tempo notes of 'Hello Young Lovers' you felt you were on 60th street at the legendary nightclub and not on 42nd street at the Green Room.

Charlie Romo returns to New York City at The Green Room 42 on Friday, June 28th at 7:00 pm to debut his new show, Roman Candle: The Ultimate Bobby Darin Experience. This contemporary crooner brings the sound, style and swagger of Bobby Darin to the stage in a theatrical concert that takes a look at the career, life and legacy of the multi-talented Darin-backed by a seven-piece band.

Charlie Romo returns to New York City on Friday, June 28th to debut his brand new show-Roman Candle: The Ultimate Bobby Darin Experience. Backed by an incomparable 7-piece band, the award-winning contemporary crooner brings the sound, style and swagger of Bobby Darin to The Green Room 42 for one special, swingin' night! This theatrical concert is the definitive look at the career, life and legacy of the multi-talented artist who refused to be defined.

The State Theatre will host a special Valentine's edition of Stage on Stage featuring Charlie Romo on Friday, February 8th.  The State Theatre main stage will be transformed into a "club" atmosphere, with the performers and the audience both on stage.  A cash bar will also be available on stage. The Valentine Stage on Stage is presented by RMG Insurance and includes Special guest Colette Boudreaux accompanied by Charity Wicks.

The State Theatre in Easton announces four new shows for the 2018-2019 Season bringing the mid-season addition list to eight new shows for its 92nd season. The theatre also announces the list of local stars who will compete in Dancing with the Lehigh Valley Stars in April.

Cabaret Producer, Promoter, and Performer Stephen Hanks has been chosen by Urban Stages Founding Artistic Director Frances Hill and Director of Musical Theatre Peter Napolitano to Produce and Host the Opening and Closing Night Gala Shows for the organization's Ninth Annual WINTER RHYTHMS SERIES, running this year from December 12 through December 23 at the Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues).

BOCA BLACK BOX is proud to present vocalist CHARLIE ROMO, for one night only, Friday, October 20, 2017 at 8pm. He will be accompanied by the Tom Regis Quartet.

Barry Levitt the acclaimed pianist, conductor, composer, musical director and mensch passed away on September 21 after suffering a massive heart attack at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Sept 21st.

As it bids farewell to its home of 11 years, the Metropolitan Room will present 24 continuous hours of free-wheeling entertainment -- from Sunday September 24 at 9pm, to Monday September 25 at 9pm. Featuring a mind-boggling 144 individual acts, with over a dozen emcees, and a battalion of musicians, technicians and hangers-on, the Metropolitan Room's 3rd annual Cabaret Marathon Extravaganza It's a Tradition was spawned by the Metropolitan Room's first record-setting (60-hour) entertainment marathon in January 2015. That massive undertaking shattered the Guinness World Record for longest variety show ever.

Bernie Fusrhpan, managing partner of the Metropolitan Room moved his club into the Friars Club last night and BroadwayWorld was there for the entertainment super special. 

Everybody Loved Somebody at The Friars Club last night as Dean Martin was celebrated in song and toasted by his fellow Friars. 

The Metropolitan avoided being raided last night (April Fools) as Bernie Furshpan served Charlie Roma alcohol exactly at 7:24 PM as the singing super star turned the legal 21. The Metropolitan's curtain was drawn literally so all the people in it's foyer could see as Charlie turned the room in a scene like the 1960's when Bobby Darwin was on the Copa stage.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) has announced the 2017 MAC Award nominees.

The Friars Club hosted a one night only event last night that will be remembered for many years by Ben Vereen.  Chita Rivera brought him to the club for what Ben thought was a small dinner in his honor.  When Ben walked out of the elevator the huge mahogany  doors of the Milton Berle Room and Barbra Streisand Room swung open to a capacity crowd of Friars shouting "SURPRISE" and singing Happy Birthday.   It was an emotional happy celebration as Ben's many friends toasted the legendary performer and humanitarian.  Friar Board Member and Chairman of the Friars Admission Committee Bill Boggs officially made Ben Vereen an Honorary Friar.  As Bill pointed out to Ben in his presentation,  " I have the power to bestow this title on you….. being an Honorary Member entitles you to walk into the club at any time, enjoy a great meal in the Frank Sinatra dinning room…..and pay for it! "
