Boca Black Box Presents Vocalist Charlie Romo For One Night Only
BOCA BLACK BOX is proud to present vocalist Charlie Romo, for one night only, Friday, October 20, 2017 at 8pm. He will be accompanied by the Tom Regis Quartet.
Charlie Romo is a native New Yorker & grew up in a community & a family with strong character, which has reinforced in him a style that has served him on stage. He studied music at Wagner College & has performed on the same stage with Usher, Lee Roy Reams, Chita Rivera & Ben Vereen at both The Friars Club & the internationally acclaimed Metropolitan Room in NYC.
Charlie is in his 20's & yet totally confident, comfortable & at home on both small & very large stages. He has an avid passion for the popular standards from the 1950's & 1960's & revives the music & style of a previous era in a dynamic & refreshing way, with the soul & sound of cherished legends, from Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett to Elvis Presley, Dean Martin & Bing Crosby. He brings back the romance, flair, subtlety & the longing of the music that played through a smoky, satiny generation of courtship, club-going & dancing.
Charlie was a finalist in the 2017 NYC MAC Award for Best Male Debut Artist & was the recipient of Broadway World's 2016 Best Debut Show.
