Everybody Loved Somebody at The Friars Club last night as Dean Martin was celebrated in song and toasted by his fellow Friars.
DeAna Martin, Dino's daughter, even appeared via video to wish her father a Happy Birthday. Dean most likely got the idea for those great TV roasts from his many appearances at Friars Roasts and his spirit, good humor, cool demeanor, and friendliness is the feeling one gets when in the club. Friars Bill Boggs, Will Friedwald and Stan Gilbert produced the over sold event and another guy with very similar characteristics to Dino headlined the Friars in house show. Tony Danza! Friars Bill Zeffiro, Danny Bacher, Charlie Romo,Venessa Racci, Michael Garin, Victor Lesser, Mardie Millit, Jenna Esposito, Bill Boggs and Stan Gilbert all performed Dean Martin favorites. The Friars even got to see a still sexy Dean Martin OriginAl Gold Digger in perfect voice sing and reminisce about her old boss. The show ran entertainingly long because not one of the performers asked Dean's favorite line when he walked out on stage....."How long have I been on?"
