The event was organized by Carrie Berk (NYMF 2017 Award for Outstanding Individual Performance) and the all-kid cast of the New York Musical Festival's Peace, Love and Cupcakes: The Musical. The show joined forces with No Bully this summer and was awarded a special NYMF citation for turning a musical into a full-fledged social inclusivity movement.

New York Musical Festival Announces 2017 Winners for NYMF Awards for Excellence

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the winners of the 2017 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Hudson Terrace (621 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036). The 2017 NYMF Award for Best Musical Sponsored by Play-by-Play was awarded to GENERATION ME, with the Show-Score Best of Fest Awards for Readings, Concerts/Events and Productions, going to CHRISTMAS IN HELL, DORIAN GRAY, and ERROL AND FIDEL, respectively. GENERATION ME took home the most awards, with GEORAMA: AN AMERICAN PANORAMA TOLD ON 3 MILES OF CANVAS, ERROL AND FIDEL, and FREEDOM RIDERS taking home multiple prizes as well.

The New York Musical Festival and Center Stage Theatre Company have announced that James Ignacio (King and I), Diego Lucano (School of Rock), Eliza Holland Madore (Matilda), Madison Mullahey (Mary Poppins, Shrek), as well as the show's own 14-year-old co-playwright, Carrie Berk (NYMF Camp Rolling Hills) will lead the company of PEACE, LOVE AND CUPCAKES: THE MUSICAL as part of the 2017 New York Musical Festival.

On Monday, March 13, 2017, A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, proudly presented the 'MY FAVORITE THINGS' Cabaret at the historic Triad Theatre. Talented young singers, ages 7-18, presented songs from their favorite Broadway musicals.
