Today we celebrate the Broadway revival of Kaufman and Hart's You Can't Take It with You, which opened on this day in 2014.

Today we rewind to 2013, when Macbeth returned to Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, where it ran for 60 performances.

Just last night, Roundabout Theatre Company honored ​​​​​​​ Alan Cumming with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre, and Michael Kors & Lance Le Pere with The Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. This year's gala 'The Life of the Party' featured a unique concert from Tony, Grammy & Emmy Award winner Cyndi Lauper, created exclusively for the special occasion.

The Hayes theatre was hoppin' last night as Grand Horizons officially opened on Broadway. Written by Bess Wohl and directed by Leigh Silverman, GRAND HORIZONS stars Jane Alexander (Nancy), James Cromwell (Bill), Priscilla Lopez (Carla), Ben McKenzie (Ben), Maulik Pancholy (Tommy), Ashley Park (Jess), and Michael Urie (Brian).

Written by award-winning playwright Tom Dulack (Incommunicado, Kennedy Center Prize for New American Drama; Road to Damascus) and directed by Michael Parva (Irena's Vow, Martin Luther on Trial), PARADISE LOST just opened last night, January 22, at Theatre Three at Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036) for a run through Sunday, February 23, 2020. On Monday, December 16th The Actors Fund held a benefit concert of Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. The concert starred Gavin Lee as 'Mr. Magoo/Ebenezer Scrooge', Sierra Boggess as 'Belle', Clifton Duncan as 'Bob Crachit', Ali Ewoldt as 'Mrs. Crachit', Kyle Selig as 'Young Ebenezer,' Matthew Scott as 'Fred', Byron Jennings as 'Jacob Marley', Don Darryl Rivera as 'the Ghost of Christmas Past', Edward Hibbert as 'the Ghost of Christmas Present', Ian Fitzgerald Gallagher as 'the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come', Klea Blackhurst as 'the Charwoman', Jennifer Cody as 'the Laundress', Jeff Blumenkrantz as 'the Undertaker', Stephen DeRosa as 'The Old Man,' and Jeff Hiller as 'The Director'.

The evening was directed by Carl Andress with choreography by Nathan Peck, based on original choreography by Marcos Santana. Grammy Award® and Emmy Award®-winner John McDaniel wrote new orchestrations for the score and served at the evening's music director, conducting a 28 piece on stage orchestra.

Grammy Award and Emmy Award-winner John McDaniel has written new orchestrations for the score and will serve at the evening's music director, conducting a 28 piece on stage orchestra.

Ghostlight Records has announced that the new cast album of Cole Porter's The New Yorkers - The New York City Center Encores! 2017 Cast Recording is available on CD, digital and streaming formats today, Friday, December 6. The release is the first major cast album of the 1930 musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Herbert Fields, and based on a story by Peter Arno and E. Ray Goetz. The 2017 production from New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) Encores! was directed by John Rando, with musical direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey.

Danielle Brooks and John Keating have been selected to receive the 2019 Joe A. Callaway Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award, honoring the best performance in a professional production of a classic play (one written prior to World War ll) in the New York metropolitan area, will be presented at Actors' Equity Association's Eastern Regional Membership Meeting at 2 pm on Monday January 13, 2020 at the Equity offices, 165 West 46th Street in New York. The announcement was made by Judy Rice, President of the Foundation, and Joan Glazer, Managing Director.

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting has announced a special one-night reading of the fast-paced dramedy a?oeChurch & State,a?? a widely lauded play by Jason Odell Williams that seeks to explore the fraught dialogue about the nation's gun violence epidemic. The reading is a program of the Harold Clurman Lab Theater, the studio's professional wing which focuses on accessible world-class theater.

Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of The Rose Tattoo officially opened last night, October 15, 2019, at the American Airlines Theatre.

Ghostlight Records has announced it will record a new cast album of Cole Porter's 1930 musical The New Yorkers. The recording will be based on the 2017 production from New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) Encores!, directed by John Rando with musical direction by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman and choreography by Chris Bailey. The concert adaptation is by Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel. The album, produced by Rob Berman and Lawrence Manchester, is being recorded March 25-26.
