On Monday, July 24, Birdland Jazz Club celebrated the landmark 20th Anniversary of its wildly popular weekly open mic night/variety show “Jim Caruso’s Cast Party.” The evening featured regular favorites, as well as special surprise guests. As usual, music director Billy Stritch held court at the ivories, along with Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums. Check out photos here!

BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of Carole J. Bufford in the world premiere of her new show “Divine Decadence” for a special six-performance engagement from Friday, July 21 to Sunday, July 23 with shows each night at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

Bryan Carter presents Jazz at Pride at Dizzy's Club, June 19-20. Bryan, a recent Tony Award winner for the orchestrations of Some Like It Hot on Broadway will host a celebration along with Broadway powerhouse Tituss Burgess and Tony Award winner J. Harrison Ghee, as they share their music, their stories, and the creative and essential impact of intentional community building.

It's back! -- three extraordinary nights of “live” songs, entertainers, and musicians – all in celebration of the 33rd annual New York Cabaret Convention, produced by The Mabel Mercer Foundation. 

For the past 18 years, Jim Caruso’s Cast Party has been the place to cheer Broadway, jazz and cabaret entertainers serving impromptu performances with the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra (Billy Stritch on piano, Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums).
