Jon Arons brought the brass to the Triad with his all singing, all dancing, all trombone playing evening of music dedicated to the brass band sound of the music of Chicago, Kool & The Gang, Brian Setzer, Ricky Martin, Sinatra, and Beyonce! (among others) The 8 piece band supported Jon in bringing the JOY of live entertainment to the hip and happy crowd.

The Apollo has announced that Fatima Jones has been named the organization’s first Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, effective immediately. Ms. Jones has been a part of the institution’s marketing and communications team since 2018.

On Wednesday, February 22, Amateur Night will return to The Apollo with a dynamic new group of artists who will battle it out over the course of 32 shows in front of the theater’s notoriously tough “Be Good or Be Gone!” audience.

Not even one year into his solo show career, Ben Jones presents two different cabaret musicals back-to-back in a Chelsea Table + Stage debut.

When RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! returns on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, two new queens will be slaying the Flamingo Las Vegas stage – Season 10 winner Aquaria and fresh from Season 14, Jorgeous.

Building on this, Sharon Watkins’ last single won the international song contest 'Song of the Summer', run by California-based company “Artist Republik”, triumphing as an underdog against more than 10,000 entries. Collaborating with producer Sam Miller (The Hoosiers, One Direction), ‘The One That Got Away’ is an intimate acoustic ballad.

The winner of America's longest running talent show Amateur Night at The Apollo, pianist Kofi Boakye, was crowned at the show's grand finale after he performed his signature version of 'Say Yes' by Floetry.

The fourth annual We Want the Funk Festival, which takes place at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) December 9 and 10 at 8:00 pm, celebrates the rhythm-driven musical genre that evolved from the R&B, soul, and jazz music of the 1960s that continues to influence today’s artists.

The three-hour concert event, from Disney Branded Television and produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and Rocket Entertainment, gave Disney+ audiences a front-row seat to his electrifying and legendary performance, which included performances by Dua Lipa, Kiki Dee and Brandi Carlile.  TheaterWorksUSA in association with The Apollo, will present an invite only staged reading of Jason Reynolds’ New York Times best-selling young adult novel Long Way Down in a compelling new musical by Dahlak Brathwaite and Khiyon Hursey, directed and choreographed by Ken-Matt Martin on November 21 at Pearl Studios.
