MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL Tour to Play Benedum Center Beginning Next Month

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced that the first North American tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will play in Pittsburgh at the Benedum Center. Performances begin Wednesday, September 27 through Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Applications are now being accepted for the third annual Black Theatre Coalition • Broadway Across America (BTC•BAA) Fellowship program. This program takes place over 14 weeks each Spring semester and is offered for Black-identifying undergraduate college juniors/seniors, recent graduates, and early career professionals who are looking to learn the inner-workings of the commercial theater business and Broadway touring industry.

Producers Lia Vollack, John Branca, John McClain, and Broadway Dallas and Broadway Across America has announced that individual tickets for the smash-hit musical, MJ, will go on sale starting Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m. MJ makes its North Texas premiere November 21 – December 3 at the Music Hall at Fair Park as part of the Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by Broadway Dallas.
Broadway Across America Reveals New Executive Team

Broadway Across America has announced its new executive leadership team. Rich Jaffe, who currently serves as co-CEO, has been named sole CEO. Susie Krajsa, who has served as BAA’s President since 2018, leads BAA’s regional teams and will now take on additional responsibilities in that role.

The Tony Award-Winning electrifying new musical by Tony Award-winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss will open the Texas Performing Arts 2023-24 Broadway in Austin season. To Kill a Mockingbird first hit bookstore shelves in 1960, where it has since become a staple in American literature. An academy award winning film adaptation was released two years later in 1962, and is equally synonymous with the title. The story focuses on a trial in which Tom Robinson, a black man is accused of assaulting Mayella Ewell, a white woman in 1930s Alabama. Atticus Finch takes on the task of representing Robinson. The story focuses on the aftermath of that choice, told through the eyes of Atticus’ youngest child, Jean Louise “Scout” Finch.
