Alley Theatre kicks off the holiday season with Houston's holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol. Artistic Director Rob Melrose's adaptation combines magic, music, and Dickens. The Tony Award-winning production features the Alley's Resident Acting Company and David Rainey as Ebenezer Scrooge. Experience the timeless tradition of Dickens' beloved tale with colorful costumes, lively dancing, and stunning sets.

Many already know the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. However, despite the many productions and movies I have seen of this timeless story, I truly believe that the Alley Theatre's A CHRISTMAS CAROL was the most exciting telling that I have experienced. Live music, active puppets, and daring spectacle kept the piece enchanting every single moment.

The Alley Theatre has announced the cast of Alley’s holiday tradition, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. This brand-new adaptation by Artistic Director Rob Melrose is now coming to life on stage under his direction. Performances of A Christmas Carol begin Friday, November 18 and run through Friday, December 30 in the Hubbard Theatre.

TheatreZone closed their sold-out run of "George M!" with a surprise audience guest who's no stranger to George M. Cohan's trademark songs and signature performance style. George M. Cohan III, George M. The feel-good family friendly show is fast paced, well-performed, and will have you laughing out loud. The show is full of wit, quips, and charm. The show will close in less than a week, and it's one that you do not want to miss this season. Don't forget to bring the kiddos. The comedy was adapted by Playwright Mark Brown, based on the 1873 novel by Jules Verne, and the production is directed by Mark Shanahan. The story is about Phileas Fogg's attempt to circumnavigate the globe within eighty days as a result of a wager with members of the London-based aristocratic group, the Reform Club.
