The 2022 Burlington Discover Jazz Festival—produced by the Flynn in association with Burlington City Arts, and presented by New England Federal Credit Union—takes place June 3-12, with events all over Downtown Burlington and beyond. The Flynn will welcome Michael Mwenso, leader of the captivating band Mwenso & The Shakes and co-founder of Electric Root, and his creative partner Jono Gasparro as the curators for this year's festival.

One of the amazing things about working at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the past 12 years has been seeing the next generation of musicians and singers take steps along their careers. Someone from the Programming Team has heard a young artist play somewhere and has decided they have what it takes to be a part of one of JALCa??s performances, whether it be the late night set in Dizzya??s Club, teaching in one of the Jazz Education events or performing in the educational Jazz for Young People shows or playing on the big stage, the room specifically designed for Jazz music where the famed Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra plays, the 1,233 seat Rose Theater.
Blue Engine Records Releases 'Black, Brown, and Beige'

Blue Engine Records, Jazz at Lincoln Center's in-house recording label, will release a present-day recording of Duke Ellington's groundbreaking masterpiece Black, Brown and Beige by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. Captured during a live, Rose Theater performance in 2018, Black, Brown and Beige is Wynton Marsalis's first recording of the work and Blue Engine's first release dedicated entirely to Ellington. Black, Brown and Beige will be available exclusively on all digital platforms on March 6, 2020.
