Outfest — the non-profit organization with the mission to create visibility for diverse LGBTQ+ stories and empower tomorrow's artists and storytellers by building empathy to drive meaningful social change through its tentpole festivals, Outfest Forward educational labs, fellowships, and Legacy film restoration program — has announced the official lineup for Outfest Fusion 2020: Culture. Film. Music. Story. presented by Comcast NBCUniversal. Now in its 17th year, Outfest Fusion will celebrate 5 days of screenings, performances, panels, galas, workshops, and world premieres across 6 unique LA venues. This year's festival takes place March 6 - 10, 2020.

Geffen Playhouse today announced a new artist residency with Cast Iron Entertainment, a cohort of artists including two-time Emmy Award winner Sterling K. Brown (Frozen 2, This is Us), Glenn Davis (Billions, King James), Emmy Award and Tony Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry (The Eternals, Atlanta), Tony Award nominee Jon Michael Hill (Elementary, Widows), André Holland (Selma, Jitney) and Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight, Choir Boy). This new artist residency will run for a period of one year.

Adding to its slate of premium content from leading industry powerhouses, HBO Max has picked up Superintelligence, an original film starring beloved Oscar-nominated actress Melissa McCarthy (Spy, The Heat, Bridesmaids). Directed by Ben Falcone (Life of the Party, Tammy) and written by Steve Mallory (The Boss), the comedy is slated to premiere on HBO Max when the service launches in Spring 2020.

FX Renews ATLANTA for a Fourth Season

FX has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) award winning hit comedy series Atlanta, it was announced today by Eric Schrier, President, FX Entertainment. Production of seasons three (previously ordered on 6/7/18) and four - both eight episodes each - are scheduled to begin next spring.

Productivity Media Inc and Oakhurst Entertainment announced today that Aubrey Plaza, Christopher Abbott and Sarah Gadon are set to join the cast of the upcoming thriller BLACK BEAR, directed by Lawrence Michael Levine. Penned by Levine, the film will be produced by Tandem Pictures' Julie Christeas and Jonathan Blitstein, Richard J Bosner (Blue Creek Pictures), Sophia Takal and Oakhurst's Marina Grasic and Jai Khanna. Productivity will finance the film. Shooting is underway in the Adirondack Mountains in Long Lake, NY.
