LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE is presenting the world premiere of a new Hercule Poirot comic mystery, PERIL IN THE ALPS, written and directed by Steven Dietz (Laguna Playhouse’s wildly successful production of Murder on the Links), and based in part of “Poirot Investigates” by Agatha Christie. Agatha Christie’s famous Hercule Poirot is back on the North Coast Rep stage, this time in the world premiere “Peril in the Alps”, a sequel to ‘Murder on the Links” from two years ago.  This is a lighthearted, quick, comic murder mystery and is running through May 25th.

North Coast Repertory Theatre has extended its production of Peril in the Alps, written by Steven Dietz. The show will now close on May 18. Check here for more details.

Detective Hercule Poirot confronts PERIL IN THE ALPS a World Premiere comic mystery at North Coast Repertory Theatre. Written and directed by Steven Dietz. Based on “Poirot Investigates” by Agatha Christie, April 16 – May 11, 2025.

The Poetry Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, managed in California by the California Arts Council and regionally, by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture in association with Write Out Loud, will present POETRY OUT LOUD, a national poetry recitation competition for high school students.

“The Importance of Being Earnest” is a lighthearted production with a clever and comedic cast that joyfully delights in poking fun at the rules and protocols of Victorian society. “The Importance of Being Earnest” plays at Lamb’s Players Theatre through November 10th.

“Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812” now playing at Cygnet Theatre is a maximalist electro-pop opera immersive musical dream, with a superb cast, and wonderful choreography, it will leave you dazzled.  “Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812” is running through May 19th.

North Coast Repertory Theatre will present a staged reading of Rocket City by Mark Saltzman, directed by David Ellenstein, on October 23, 2023 at 7:30pm.

WRITE OUT LOUD, an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience has announced the 14th Annual TwainFest. Twainfest will take place on Saturday, August 19th from 11am - 5pm in Heritage County Park.
