Ernest Shackleton Loves Me creates an entertaining fantasy love affair set to music in 90 minutes. The production is brilliantly assembled.

COACHELLA VALLEY REPERTORY presents the WEST COAST PREMIERE of one of the most inventive and stylish shows to come along in years: ERNEST SHACKLETON LOVES ME, April 22-May 10. It’s an imaginative musical romance that charms audiences with its original score and delightful wit. It won the 2017 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical and was nominated for two Lortel Awards: Outstanding Actor and Outstanding Projection Design.

Intiman Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for Mother Nature: The Farewell Tour, a genre-defying rock spectacle created, written, and performed by multidisciplinary artist Bhama Roget, and directed by Jennifer Jasper. The limited engagement runs April 2–5, 2026, at the Intiman Cabaret.

I didn't think I'd ever see a singing Antarctic explorer in a musical, but that's exactly what ERNEST SHACKLETON LOVES ME delivers. This quirky but conventionally structured two-hander introduces audiences to Kat, a struggling experimental musician with a newborn baby and a deadbeat, absent boyfriend who's on tour with a Journey cover band, and the eponymous Ernest Shackleton.
