Des Moines Performing Arts announced lineups for four returning series, including the Dance Series featuring Ailey II and Ballet Hispánico, the National Geographic Live Speaker Series, and comedy and concert series at the Temple Theater.

A new documentary film will be released about blues musician Bobby Rush. Titled King of the Chitlin’ Circuit, the movie explores the life of the 92-year-old musician and his 70-plus-year career. 

The Tanglewood Popular Artist Series, which each year brings a star-studded lineup of musicians and performers to Tanglewood’s Koussevitzky Music Shed, continues to expand its 2026 summer season with the addition of Jon Stewart among a roster of major artists across genres including rock, country, pop, Broadway, and soul.

The Ravinia Festival has announced its 2026 season, which will showcase a lineup of more than 90 artists. This season also marks the unveiling of the newly redesigned Hunter Pavilion. The festival, known for its diverse range of performances, continues to be a significant event in the cultural calendar, attracting music lovers from various genres. The updated venue is expected to enhance the audience experience, providing a modernized space for performances.

After rave reviews and multiple awards, the cathartic comedy Heartbreak Hotel will return to Arts Centre Melbourne for one week only 14 – 19 July 2026 at the Fairfax Studio.

MPAC will present a lineup of exciting shows including Forever KPop, with tickets going on sale this Friday. The event features a range of performances scheduled for the coming months.

Z2 Entertainment will present Bruce Hornsby & THE NOISEMAKERS at Chautauqua Auditorium on Thursday, September 24. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to all ages.
