Broadway favorite Betsy Wolfe will headline The New York Pops Underground cabaret performance on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 54 Below, performing selections from Waitress, The Last 5 Years, and her new Broadway show, & Juliet.

The New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), will star Luba Mason and Caesar Samayoa.

On April 25, 2022, The New York Pops celebrated their 39th Birthday with their yearly gala (the first since 2019), honoring Broadway legends Kristen and Bobby Lopez in: 'For The First Time In Forever: The Songs Of Kristen And Bobby Lopez!' The EGOT winning duo is known for their works on Broadway for the long-running smash hit 'The Book of Mormon' and modern Disney classics such as 'Frozen.' They recently won an Emmy for their song 'Agatha All Along' from Marvel Studios' 'Wandavison.'

Last night, the best of Broadway gathered at Carnegie Hall to join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 39th Birthday Gala, For the First Time In Forever: The Songs of Kristen and Bobby Lopez.

The Broadway Education Alliance Inc., has just announced that the Camp Broadway Kids Ensemble will mark its first live appearance with a 28- member cast at The New York Pops 39th annual Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall on April 25, 2022.

Samantha Barks, Josh Gad, Maggie Lakis, Rob McClure, and Andrew Rannells will join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 39th Birthday Gala, For the First Time In Forever: The Songs of Kristen and Bobby Lopez, honoring the Academy and Grammy Award winning songwriting duo Kristen and Bobby Lopez.

PREMIERES NYC has announced the expansion of its bi-annual commissioning series INNER VOICES with the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant). 

The New York Pops 39th Birthday Gala concert, For the First Time In Forever: The Songs of Kristen and Bobby Lopez, on Monday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall will feature 27 participants from the orchestra's Kids on Stage program.

The Town Hall presented Broadway By The Year: The New Wave on Monday, March 21 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the event launched Broadway By The Year's 21st landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

Kristen Bell (Film and Television star; voice of Anna in Disney’s Frozen), Caissie Levy (original Elsa in Frozen on Broadway) and Betsy Wolfe (originated leading role in world premiere of the Lopezes’ musical Up Here) will join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 39th Birthday Gala.

Josh Gad tweeted this morning that 'You Are the Music,' a song that appeared on the animated musical comedy series, Central Park, is one of his personal favorite parts of working on the show. 'Central Park,' the critically acclaimed, hit animated musical comedy series, returned with eight all-new episodes on Friday, March 4 on Apple TV+.

It’s hard to think of a more fitting production than FROZEN, to make an extended stay at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center. As this Broadway hit musical makes its way to the City Beautiful for a run February 24th -  March 6th, I caught up with Caroline Innerbichler, who plays Princess Anna, to find out more about her career, bringing this Disney hit musical to Orlando, and what it’s like performing this show for live audiences all over the country once again.

The New York Pops is welcoming seven new musicians to its orchestra: violinists Monica K. Davis, Keats Dieffenbach, Joshua Henderson, and Ashley Horne, and violists Amadi Azikiwe, Dana Kelley, and Ardith Holmgrain.

 The New York Pops is rescheduling its concert, Get Happy: That Nelson Riddle Sound to Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 8:00pm in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. Originally scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022 at 8pm, the concert is being postponed to the following month due to Covid-related challenges.
