News broke yesterday that Disney+ has scrapped the previously announced Muppets series, from Josh Gad, Adam Horowitz, and Eddy Kitsis. The project was set to feature original songs by Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and be directed by Jason Moore. Following the news, Gad took to Instagram to shed light on what happened.

Last night, TheaterWorksUSA celebrated 57 years with its benefit at The Current at Chelsea Piers hosted by Broadway's James Snyder. The evening raised critical funds to support TheaterWorksUSA's mission which addresses the disproportionate accessibility of theater for young people by creating exceptional, transformative theatrical experiences for audiences in diverse communities throughout New York City and North America. On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, Third Street Music School Settlement (Third Street), the nation's longest running community school, will honor Arturo O'Farrill, Grammy-winning artist, composer and performer, Emily Warren, singer and Grammy-winning and multi-platinum songwriter, and Gus Wenner, President and Chief Operating Officer of Rolling Stone at its Annual Spring Gala. Sara Haines, co-anchor of Good Morning America, will serve as master of ceremonies and Harry Santa-Olalla will host the live auction. As Frozen celebrates its first smash year on Broadway on March 22nd, Disney Theatrical Productions has announced that the show will have three international productions, joining the previously announced North American tour launching this fall.
