Greece is coming to Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville, NC now through October 6, 2019 with Mamma Mia!

Dustin LeBlanc directs an energetic and enthusiastic production of the ABBA musical for Keystone Theatrics at Allenberry Playhouse.

For fans of the music of Abba, MAMMA MIA! is a show you will love. Julia Lennon shines in the leading role of Sophie, bringing more to this character than I have ever seen before. With excellent choreography and dancing, this performance at Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, CT is one that I highly recommend.

Central Piedmont Community College Theatre announces individual tickets are now on sale for its upcoming season. The troupe is bringing an incredible lineup of quality shows at prices the entire family can enjoy. Tickets are available for $19 and $22, with tickets for children under the age of 15 available for $10. Tickets for all Central Piedmont students are free at the box office. In addition, parking is free for all shows.

In its opening show of the 2019-2020 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Mamma Mia, the ultimate feel- good musical comedy. Mamma Mia is woven around many of ABBA's greatest hits, featuring music and lyrics by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson. Sort of like an extra-special episode of The Golden Girls - ACCC's Mamma Mia!, not to be confused with Studio Tenn's Mamma Mia! which runs through September 8 in Franklin - is given a new lease on life, as it were, thanks to Deason's casting choices: Imagine if Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia were given a holiday special, filled with special guest stars, a bigger budget and an orchestra, choreography and an ensemble of younger actors eager to learn from their mentors and you'll have a fairly good notion of how Deason's Mamma Mia! is interpreted for the sell-out audiences filling the Woodbury theater to overflowing in order to revel in the ABBA-inspired spectacle.

Directed with his signature creative flair, boundless imagination and penchant for fun by Benji Kern, Studio Tenn's interim artistic director, Mamma Mia! features a stellar cast of performers bringing the show to life with the expected verve and energy that the ABBA score virtually demands. Led by Erica Aubrey as Donna and Emily Urbanski as her daughter Sophie, Studio Tenn's production is vibrant, colorful and energetic, tapping into the universal appeal of the music thanks to music director/conductor Stephen Kummer and his seven member band who perform the score with consummate professionalism and more than a little Disco-era panache.

Mamma Mia follows the story of 20-year-old Sophie on a quest to determine who her father is by inviting her mother Donna's three paramours (Sam, Harry, and Bill) from 20 years go to her Greek Island wedding.  In Donna's hay-day she had a girl group, Donna and the Dynamos, with her friends Lisa and Tanya who also return to the island for the wedding.

Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, opens its 58th consecutive summer season for 2019 on May 11 with the ABBA Tribute Band, Dancing Queen. Artistic Director Paul Stancato and Executive Director Dan Danielowski are busily making preparations for the opening.
