This year's 20th anniversary show will be special in many ways, not the least of which is the fact that it will be performed in the Vergennes Congregational Church, rather than on the Vergennes Opera House Stage.

Facing several months of a dark stage due to the All Access Project construction, the Friends of the Vergennes Opera House (FVOH) decided to take the show on the road for most of their 2025-2026 season with the Vergennes Opera House 'Off Stage' series.

The Friends of the Vergennes Opera House has announced the line-up for their 2024-2025 season. The season kicks off on Friday, September 13, 2024, with the screening of the thriller film “Brooklyn 45” and ends on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with the LC Jazz Winter Thaw Free Community Concert.

The Friends of the Vergennes Opera House has announced the line-up for their 2023-2024 season which kicks off on Sunday, September 10, 2023, and ends on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Broadway Direct returns to the Vergennes Opera House for the 17th year with a spectacular lineup of performers on Friday, December 9, at 7:30pm.

Like so many other things this year, BROADWAY DIRECT looks a little different but it is just as wonderful as ever with Bill Carmichael (Bill Walsh), Elisa Van Duyne, Jonny Barden and Caitlin Walsh, accompanied by the expert pianist Scott Nicholas. Together, and under the direction of Sue Walsh, they will bring BROADWAY DIRECT to life -- SAFELY!

For the 14th year, Bill Carmichael, (known us as Bill Walsh) is pulling together the annual Broadway Direct show, marking his 14th year doing so. The production will take place on Friday, December 6 at 7:30pm with the doors, and the cash bar, opening at 6:45 for general seating.

Once again, the all-volunteer team at the Vergennes Opera House has pulled together a robust and eclectic season of shows for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. The season kicks off on October 12 with a rousing blues event and ends on February 29 with the presentation of the 7th annual Carnevale Vergennes.

The complete cast is set for the upcoming Vermont Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY, a gospel-infused play that will run at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT. The show, directed by Jarvis Antonio Green, begins previews on November 3 and opens on November 5.
