A balletic solo that has been enchanting audiences for decades, a jazz-infused solo featuring a rising Broadway dancer and world premieres from two innovative contemporary choreographers are among the pieces just added to this year’s Fire Island Dance Festival lineup.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Schmigadoon! held a workshop presentation this week, and the cast list has been revealed.

The digital album for the Broadway musical, Lempicka (Original Broadway Cast Recording) is available now.

Tickets are now on sale for 'Bull Durham, A New Musical,' an adaptation of the 1988 hit movie about the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team; the musical will be performed in Durham for the first time this fall. 

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Lempicka is still on its way, but fans will just have to wait a bit longer. The album, which was originally rescheduled for a June 12 release, has been pushed back to June 18.

The complete cast has now been announced for Transport Group's concert production of Follies. The sold-out event will play one night only—Thursday, June 20, at 8:00 p.m. at Carnegie Hall.

Earlier this week, Norm Lewis stopped by an assisted living facility on New York's Upper West Side to perform a special concert for the residents. Lewis hopes to provide the seniors with a 'smile, some reverence, and perhaps a spiritual awakening, just like they're giving to me.' Watch the CBS segment!

Broadway and Vine kicks off its 2024 season on July 9 and 10 at 7:30PM, with Academy Award-winner Ariana DeBose at Carneros Resort Vineyard Lawn.

Lempicka played its final performance on Broadway on May 19. Following the final curtain call, members of the show's creative team, including Rachel Chavkin (director), Matt Gould (book and music), and more, took to the stage to give speeches about the show. Watch the video here!

Lempicka will close on Broadway following 27 previews and 41 regular performances at the Longacre Theatre.

The DPAC Rising Star Awards is a regional competition that brings together high school musical theater students from Central and Eastern North Carolina to perform and compete for the chance to represent the Triangle in The National High School Musical Theater (otherwise known as The Jimmy) Awards in New York City on June 24th. The national competition celebrates outstanding student performances in high school musical productions from all over the United States. This year, students from 31 local high schools submitted applications in the hopes of being selected as a Triangle Rising Stars' Top 20 finalist.
