Director Terry Kinney reconceives the indie rock band Other Lives' performance as a unique theatrical event- RECONFIGURATION: AN EVENING WITH OTHER LIVES this weekend, October 9 & 10 at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave), presented by Mix Tape Productions.

True to its title, Reconfiguration: An Evening with Other Livesreconceives the acclaimed rock band's live show as an immersive theatrical experience helmed by Steppenwolf Theatre Company co-founder Terry Kinney in this world premiere collaborative work. Other Lives' Jesse Tabish, Jonathon Mooney, Josh Onstott, Daniel Hart, and Danny Reisch will perform songs from their most recent album, Rituals, along with previous releases, while Kinney crafts an engrossing audio-visual narrative inspired by the band's cinematic music.

Nicholas L. Ashe, Danny McCarthy, Natalie Gold, Marin Ireland, and Samuel H. Levine will be featured in the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater world premiere of KILL FLOOR, by Abe Koogler, directed by Lila Neugebauer. KILL FLOOR will begin performances Saturday, October 3, open Monday, October 19, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 15 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). n revealing a true story through an autobiographical musical, songwriter Benjamin Scheuer performs his coming of age titled The LIon. Milwaukee Rep's Stiemke Studio presents this up-close and personal production after being named an outstanding solo performance on both sides of the Atlantic. On stage, Scheuer and his acoustic guitars, except for one electric string version, transform the theater with his impressive displays of musicianship over the 70 minute, no intermission production.

Due to critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons and Center Theatre Group have announced an extension of their New York premiere co-production of THE CHRISTIANS, a new play by Lucas Hnath (A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney, Red Speedo, Isaac's Eye, Death Tax).  Directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters (Doris to Darlene at PH; 10 Out of 12; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play; Big Love; eurydice), the play is the opening production of the Playwrights Horizons 2015/2016 Season.

Ken Davenport, Cody Lassen, Hunter Arnold, David J. Kurs, and Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, directed by Michael Arden and choreographed by Spencer Liff, will open on Broadway this Sunday, September 27. The limited engagement will now run through Sunday, January 24 only at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

Nominees for the 2015 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on Thursday, September 24 on @ This Stage Magazine [ThisStage.la]. This year's Ovation Awards ceremony will take place Monday, November 9 at the Ahmanson Theatre at The Music Center. The curtain will rise at7:30pm.

Playwrights Horizons presents Lucas Hnath's, THE CHRISTIANS, a new drama that explores the controversial subject of a religious leader announcing to his congregation his new interpretation of The Bible.

On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.
