Producers Barry and Fran Weissler have just announced casting for the Broadway company of CHICAGO, which resumes performances at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W 49th St, NYC) on Tuesday, September 14th. Leading the company will be Bianca Marroquín making her debut in the role of Velma Kelly, Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron “Mama” Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Ryan Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Casting for the roles of Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn will officially be announced soon, but according to an Instagram post from casting office Stewart/Whitley, Ana Villafañe will play Roxie.
It’s the fourth video release from THE LIGHT BELOW, which was released February 5 via Carry On Music and can be purchased or streamed here. Videos for the album’s first three singles, “Divine Intervention,” “The Value of Zero” and “What Did You Expect?” can be seen on the band’s official YouTube and Vevo pages.
The video, which clocks in at 12:30, was directed By Boredom Killing Business with Cory Ingram, Konstantin Komarov and Bob Wayne and shot in the band’s hometown of Seattle. Seattle's Walking Papers will be on tour with Myles Kennedy beginning November 13th in Chicago, IL. The band just returned from a European tour where they played to packed houses in the UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Norway, and Denmark. The band features singer/songwriter Jefferson Angell, keyboardist/backing vocalist Benjamin Anderson (both from The Missionary Position), bassist Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), and drummer Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season) but because of previous commitments Duff McKagan and Barrett Martin will not be along for these dates. Instead, Angell and Anderson will be joined by fellow Seattle musicians Tristan Hart (guitar), Dan Spalding (bass, upright bass and baritone saxophone), Will Andrews (drums), and Gregor Lothian (saxophone).
