Today, 24 November 2021 iconic children's venue Little Angel Theatre celebrates 60 years of entertaining and inspiring generations of families through the magical artform of puppetry. When a troupe of enthusiastic puppeteers under the leadership of John and Lyndie Wright transformed a derelict temperance hall in Islington into a theatre specially designed for children's marionette shows in 1961, nothing like it existed anywhere in London.

MAC is inviting all songwriters to submit their original songs for consideration for one of MAC's two songwriting awards: the Dottie Burman Award and the John Wallowitch Award. Submitters do not need to be MAC members. There is no submission fee. MAC encourages all songwriters to submit their work for consideration.

Little Angel Theatre will open its doors again to socially distanced audiences with a brand-new production based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's much-loved story The Smartest Giant in Town, published by Macmillan Children's Books. Co-produced with Fierylight, the new show is a highlight of Little Angel's 60th anniversary season and will run from 28 May - 8 August at Little Angel Studios.
