The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Barb Jungr and John McDaniel on the stage on Monday, October 22.

Barb Jungr joins forces with the formidably talented Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winning U.S. composer, arranger and Music Director, John McDaniel to bring their exciting '1968-Let The Sun Shine In' back to New York City for one show at Birdland on Oct. 22nd, before moving on to Chicago, St. Louis and Los Angeles before the end of the month.

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, presents Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. Musings runs from Monday, October 15th - Sunday October, 21st at The Flea's new home at 20 Thomas Street in Tribeca.

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with week two of the "Second Annual Celebration of Ron Carter" with the Ron Carter Quartet, Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen 'PHENOMENAL WOMAN: The Maya Angelou Songs,' Alex Frondelli Quartet, and more!

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, will present Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. The Muse Project gives women performers the time, space, and opportunity to experiment with and explore their fantasy projects. Musings will showcase the exciting, fresh, paradigm-shifting storytelling that 5 of New York's leading stage actresses have developed through intensive workshops, called Mini Muses. The week will culminate in a party on October 19th, the 'Mini Gala' - a wine and cheese event to celebrate the week's presentations; and 'Tea Time,' a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, where a veteran stage actress discusses her experiences building her career. Actress Florencia Lozano is set to partake as the Tea Time guest.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with Dee Dee Bridgewater with the Theo Croker Quintet, Kevin Eubanks Quartet, Anita Gillette, Ron Carter's Great Big Band, Quartet and Golden Striker Trio, Alan Broadbent Trio, Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen, Jay Leonhart, Pasquale Grasso Trio, Ken Peplowski with Special Guest Sinne Eeg, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, and more!

Having first roared into life at Polka Theatre and Oxford Playhouse in 2016, Helen Stephen's much-loved children's story How to Hide a Lion will now embark on its first national tour, enchanting young audiences around the UK. Adapted and directed by Peter Glanville, this magical play features dazzling puppets and lively jazz by acclaimed jazz and cabaret artist Barb Jungr.

Don't miss Barb Jungr and John McDaniel's final two performances of '1968-Let The Sun Shine In' at Joe's Pub on July 28 and 29. The set list is powerful, recalling a tumultuous and pivotal year - and the year 'Hair' debuted at - where else - the PUBLIC THEATER. The partnership of Jungr and McDaniel has produced several shows and two recordings. Their first, 'Come Together - Barb Jungr and John McDaniel Perform the Beatles' was critically lauded internationally.

Internationally renowned singer Barb Jungr and Grammy & Emmy award winner John McDaniel are together again with their newest collaboration: Float Like A Butterfly - The Sting Songbook. This collection has audiences and critics glowing. The pair continue to have worldwide success with live concerts and the CD of their Beatles collection, Come Together, available worldwide. This new show features some of Sting's best known and also lesser known songs, with Jungr as always bringing new meaning to classics "Fields of Gold", "Message in a Bottle" & "Englishman in New York", with McDaniel's nonpareil musicality, harmonies and her radiant humor.

Nationally celebrated gay singer-songwriter Tom Goss comes to The RRazz Room New Hope at The Clarion Hotel for his only New Hope show of 2018 on Saturday, July 28.

Full casting is today announced for Polka Theatre's production of The Everywhere Bear. Artistic Director of Polka Theatre, Peter Glanville, directs Amy Tweed and Daniel Harlock running until 26 July.

Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake opens the new Spring/Summer season at Polka Theatre. The production opens with previews from 23 March and runs until 13 May. It has been adapted by the theatre's Artistic Director, Peter Glanville and Barb Jungr. Glanville also directs Mark Houston(Michael), Aminita Francis (Teacher/Mum) and Todd Heppenstall (Brother) in the production. Check out the trailer below!
