Following a sell-out run at the Royal Court, the play everyone is talking about is transferring to the West End. Directed by Nicholas Hytner, Mark Rosenblatt’s playwriting debut has rinsed most of the awards found in British theatre at this point. It deserves every ounce of praise. Giant is timely. It’s sophisticated. It’s complex. It’s nuanced. It’s everything an excellent play should be. Each side of the argument is so passionate and eloquent, yet one, though just, reeks of hatred. At a stage when Kneecap have seen their US visa revoked after speaking out against the Palestinian genocide at Coachella and JK Rowling continues to spew transphobic hate, Giant’s West End transfer is utterly momentous.

The full cast has been announced for the West End transfer of the Royal Court Theatre’s production of GIANT, written by Mark Rosenblatt, directed by Nicholas Hytner and designed by Bob Crowley. 

Giancarlo Esposito, Aya Cash and Jessica Harper have joined the cast alongside Charlie Day and Allison Williams in the comedic thriller KILL ME, directed and written by Peter Warren.

Ensemble Theatre Company has announced additional casting for an add-on production to its season, the world premiere of a new comedy, PARENTS IN CHAINS, written by Emmy and Peabody award-winner Jay Martel and directed by Andy Fickman.

HBO has released the official trailer for the original comedy series THE FRANCHISE. The eight-episode season debuts SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max, followed by one new episode weekly through Sunday, November 24.
