'The Addams Family' features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. Performances are live and streaming May 13th thru the 30th, 2021 at the Garden Theater, 1187 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201. BWW Review: MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT at Columbus Immersive Theatre Photo BWW Review: MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT at Columbus Immersive Theatre
by Paul Batterson - Mar 22, 2021

Before its 2004 debut on Broadway, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT, Eric Idle’s musical take on the cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, raised a few eyebrows. Python purists wondered if a musical could capture the lunacy of the 1975 film. Broadway aficionados wondered if there would be a place for Monty Python’s brand of humor on the Great White Way.

Monty Python's Spamalot by Eric Idle is a musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Like the motion picture, it is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend, but it differs from the film in many ways. Performances are live and streaming March 18th thru April 3rd, 2020 at the Garden Theater, 1187 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201. a??a??a??a??a??a??a??Consider this entry from the 'If at first you don't succeed' department. A young television writer is recruited to write a book for the musical SHINBONE ALLEY. Haven't heard of it? That's not too surprising. It lasted a little over a month and closed on Broadway after 49 performances. Undaunted, he writes the first act for another musical, ALL-AMERICAN five years later. It also flops, closing on Broadway after 80 performances.

BWW Review: Gallery Players' 13: THE MUSICAL Brings Back All Painful Awkwardness of Middle School
by Paul Batterson - Dec 5, 2016

Ahhh, the joys of middle school: three years of bad skin, Mrs. Goldsmith's English class, bullies, popularity contests, and enough deep, emotional scars to fill therapists' offices for years to come. The Gallery Players production of 13: THE MUSICAL, the witty and at times painfully accurate depiction of that delightful time right before high school, is dead on the money.
