The Soraya continues to rollout news of its 2022-23 season following the recent announcement of its Premium Classical Series lineup.  Now, tickets for the Signature Series are available to Members only through July 11, and will be available to the general public on July 12. 

Selby/Artists MGMT has announced that Ballets Jazz Montréal has been signed for touring the company's new works as well as Dance Me based on the music and words of the legendary Leonard Cohen, and other proven audience favorites from the company's eclectic repertoire. 

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC), led by Artistic Director Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, introduces six new artists joining their main company, each highly accomplished in contemporary dance. Aaron Choate, Morgan Clune, Jack Henderson, Shota Miyoshi, Cyrie Topete and Matt Wenckowski, will all join the company for its 45th season.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s (PBT) popular program Open Air: A Series in Celebration of the Performing Arts returns to the city June 9 – 12 at a new location on the Allegheny Riverfront in Sharpsburg (1 19th Street, Sharpsburg). The series will include performances by the PBT Company as well as local performing arts organizations.

 Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will return to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ David H. Koch Theater June 15-19, 2022, for a six- performance engagement that caps a decade of Artistic Director Robert Battle’s leadership.

Filmed live at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance during its premiere with HSDC in November, 2021, the limited-time online viewing opportunity is the first of several free streams of professionally filmed pieces from Season 44.

 Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) will come to the Joyce Theater June 14-19, 2022, offering audiences a unique series of programs that showcase early works choreographed by Paul Taylor including Tracer, Fibers and Aureole, along with a World Premiere by Michelle Manzanales and the New York Premiere of A Call for Softer Landings by Peter Chu, both of which were commissioned by PTDC. Tickets start at $10 and are available at joyce.org.

The Marcus Performing Arts Center welcomes Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U. S. Congress as a vital American ”Cultural Ambassador to the World” and one of the most popular dance companies, for a one-night-only performance on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 pm in Uihlein Hall as part of its MPAC Presents Dance Series.
