The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts, centrally located on the Melbourne Campus of Eastern Florida State College, is poised to celebrate its 35th year of operation on the Space Coast of Florida. Symphony Space has announced its Spring 2023 programming, featuring a robust lineup of visionary artists and writers in unique, one-night-only, only-at-Symphony Space events.  Caramoor – long a byword for the transformative power of live music coupled with spectacular open-air venues, intimate indoor spaces, and world-renowned artists – officially opens its 2023 summer season (June 17–Aug 18; grounds open June 4) with a very special concert featuring stellar vocalist Audra McDonald, with Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL) led by Andy Einhorn.

This elevated concert experience is a journey through the 1960’s Motown era and Franklin’s courageous life of love, tragedy, and triumph. Starring a live band and supreme vocalists, audiences will be out of their seats and dancing to a night of music by one of the greatest artists of all time.

Self-produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela at their studio in Ixtapa, Mexico, the album – which sees the guitar duo expanding their traditional approach to include inventive electronic and orchestral elements – is heralded by the premiere of the first single, “Descending To Nowhere,” available now on all DSPs.
