Today, BET announced three-time GRAMMY® award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Maxwell will receive the ‘Legend’ award at the 2021 “Soul Train Awards”. Award-winning and multiplatinum singer/songwriter, actor, entrepreneur, and author Ashanti will be the recipient of the ‘Lady of Soul’ honor.

For the first time ever, the rapper will take the stage in her hosting debut to usher in music’s hottest night of the year, which will feature showstopping performances and moments representing music’s vibrant community. Nominees this year include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, and more.
