Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and expand the art of the cabaret, honor the music of Broadway, and provide an unparalleled experience to diverse communities.

Bat Out of Hell - The Musical, the award-winning hit production features the music, lyrics, and book by Jim Steinman, based on the Bat Out of Hell albums immortalized by Meat Loaf. The rock musical debuted in the Paris Theatre at Paris Las Vegas with performances from Tuesday to Sunday.

On May 26, 2022, AR Productions will present an industry reading of “Food Fighters”, a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Aaron Morrill. The reading will be directed by Joe Barros (Gigi, The Evolution of Mann) and will take place at The Jerry Orbach Theater at the Theater Center located at 210 W 50th Street, New York, NY 10019.

The beloved novel From The Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsberg is becoming a new family musical for the theatrical stage. Adam Ben-David (Music), Jessica Penzias (Book), and Christyn Budzyna (Lyrics) will receive a 29-hour reading in New York City on May 16, 2022, at the JCC Manhattan.

Acclaimed jazz vocalist Amanda King and Las Vegas headliner Kelly Vohnn bring wonderment and warmth with family-friendly fun for the holidays in their show, A Very Vegas Christmas. The show will be streamed live and performed with an audience at the Summerlin Performing Arts Center Dec. 3-4.

Acclaimed vocalist and entertainer Michelle Johnson, known as “Las Vegas’ First Lady of Jazz” is happily returning to The Smith Center when she will perform perform her new show Michelle Johnson Presents Home! A Return to Broadway at Myron’s at The Smith Center on Sept. 26.

Additional cast members include Eric Wiegand (Plaza Suite), Kelly Krauter (Waitress 2nd National Tour), Sarah-Anne Martinez (Blue Bloods), Christina Barnes (Frankenstein), Kyle Caress (Cinderella National Tour), Jenn Maurer (Elf the Musical National Tour), Sophie Miller, Jack Ducat and Jake Letts.

The Composers Showcase has joined forces with WE/EC (stage technicians and backstage workers) and will present the first live showcase since March when The Smith Center was closed due to the pandemic. The Composers Showcase will kick off On With the Show! a 4-night live-streamathon on YouTube and Twitch beginning in the evening on Oct. 23 and continuing in the evenings Oct. 24-26.
