The Alliance Theatre has announced the cast and creative team of its world premiere musical, TRADING PLACES. Inspired by the iconic and beloved 1983 Paramount Pictures film, TRADING PLACES is a hilarious and contemporary musical reimagining of the prince and pauper fable.

Producers Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jenny and Jon Steingart, Jill Furman, and Portland Center Stage announced that the national tour of Freestyle Love Supreme will play Portland Center Stage’s U.S. Bank Main Stage from April 8 – May 1, 2022.

Take the genius that is Lin-Manuel Miranda, add in some delicious improv and shake well and you get the absolute joy that is “Freestyle Love Supreme” currently playing at the Seattle Rep. Think of it like “Hamilton” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” had a baby. From the creative minds of Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Anthony Veneziale comes this 90-minute, made up on the spot, bullet train that will leave you wanting more and more and more.

Before Hamilton, before In the Heights, there was Freestyle Love Supreme. Now — direct from Broadway — the original hip-hop musical phenomenon from Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Anthony Veneziale arrives in Seattle.         

Following a successful limited Broadway engagement this fall that included a 2020 Special Tony Award, improv sensation FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME, conceived by Anthony Veneziale and created by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anthony Veneziale, is now on tour!

Not a fan of rap, improv or audience participation, three key ingredients of FLS, I have to say I was drawn in by the incredibly talented cast and the lightning speed at which they riff on random thoughts and observations. Combining sketch theater and 'freestyle rap, the 90-minute exercise in creativity included humor, social awareness, pathos and inspiration.

Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter to share eight playlists he curated of pre-show music for the Broadway run of Freestyle Love Supreme.

Freestyle Love Supreme has cancelled tonight's performance 'Out of an abundance of caution.' The show had cancelled Saturday's performances due to breakthrough COVID-19. It was previously announced that Lin-Manuel Miranda would join tonight's performances. He will now be performing in the shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Single tickets for the Seattle run of Freestyle Love Supreme are on sale now for shows running February 16-March 13, 2022 on the Bagley Wright stage. Freestyle Love Supreme is a thrilling, improvised musical comedy show that features talented performers providing non-stop action throughout this fast-paced evening.

Tina Fey will be joining Freestyle Love Supreme on Broadway December 16!

The cast of Freestyle Love Supreme appeared on LIVE! With Kelly & Ryan this morning to perform a completely improvised song about the show's hosts. After an interview, Ripa and Seacrest joined the cast in a game as they attempted to improvise their own song.
