Cleveland Play House Celebrates the 'Godmother of Rock and Roll' with MARIE AND ROSETTA

Cleveland Play House (CPH) is proud to bring George Brant's Marie and Rosetta to the Allen Theatre stage. Marie and Rosetta chronicles the story of 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Early Influence Inductee Sister Rosetta Tharpe and her counterpart Marie Knight as they changed the landscape of modern music. Miche Braden will make her return to Cleveland Play House as Sister Rosetta Tharpe alongside CPH newcomer Chaz Hodges as Marie Knight. Directed by Neil Pepe, Marie and Rosetta runs January 20 through February 11, 2018 in the Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

Freeform Releases Its New Lineup of TV and Movie Offerings for January 2018

Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, will debut the premiere of grown- ish, on January 3, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. EST, in a special two-episode event. From the executive producer of ABC's Emmy-nominated black ish, comes grown-ish, a half-hour spinoff comedy tackling current social issues and complexities facing both students and administrators.

MUSICAL THRONES: A Parody of Ice and Fire Brings Westeros to Philadelphia

Philadelphia Theatre Company (PTC) heats up winter with dragon fire,dramatic power-struggles and bloodthirsty violence as Musical Thrones: A Parody of Ice and Fire makes a stop in the City of Brotherly Love on its 30 city national tour February 9-10, 2018. This hilarious send-up of HBO's wildly popular series, which is heading into its final season, will take center stage at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Parody Extends in San Francisco

New York Comedy Festival Announces 2016 Line-Up!
