KOTA Productions is now casting young actors for the virtual premiere production of A Little Princess, which will stream world-wide this summer.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Opera Australia will soon present the upcoming new Sydney production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which will be the first major outdoor production of the musical. The Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour season of PHANTOM, directed by Simon Phillips with set and costume design by Gabriela Tylesova, will open on Sydney’s iconic over-water stage on March 25.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella is returning to the stage of the Gillian Lynne Theatre after temporarily shutting its doors in December due to Omicron. As a preview, Andrew Lloyd Webber took to the piano to play music from the show.

LA MIRADA THEATRE has announced its 2022/2023 season of shows.  They will open with the Southern California premiere of legendary actress Sally Struthers (“All In The Family,” “Gilmore Girls”) starring as “FrauBlücher” in the newly-revised, London version of the monstrously hilarious musical hit, Mel Brooks’ YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.  

One of the longest-running and most successful musicals of all time, the trio playing the iconic leads will be Melbourne-born Joshua Robson as The Phantom, Brisbane performer Georgina Hopson as Christine and acclaimed West End and Broadway musical theatre performer Callum Francis as Raoul Vicomte de Chagny.

The University of Northern Colorado will host this Valentine's Day concert on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 6:30 PM MT in Kepner Hall (Milne Auditorium).

Molloy College CAP 21 presents Lizzie, The Musical, Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR landed at the Providence Performing Arts Center this week as part of its 50th anniversary tour, and the show does not disappoint. Originally scheduled to visit Providence in 2020, the tour was cut short and delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, however, its return was triumphant and well worth the wait. The familiar tale, set against the final weeks of the life of Jesus Christ and told through the eyes of Judas, features some modern design embellishments that succeed in updating the look of the show without altering the outstanding original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, all while allowing the actors’ performances to shine.

Patti LuPone appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last night, alongside Cynthia Nixon and her Company co-star Matt Doyle as bartender.
