As far as coming-of-age stories go, many are predictable and follow a pretty standard template. Thankfully for CHOIR BOY, written by acclaimed playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney, the story maintains all the charms of the genre while still embarking on a more unique take.

CHOIR BOY Comes to Canadian Stage in November

Canadian Stage has shared details of the upcoming Toronto premiere production of MOONLIGHT co-writer and Academy Award-winner Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY - set to light up the big stage of the Bluma Appel Theatre beginning November 8th and running to November 19th.

Shaw Festival to Present OUTDOORS @ THE SHAW - A Fresh Air Summer Fête

Artistic Director Tim Carroll and the Shaw Festival have announced Outdoors @ The Shaw, a series of concerts and events scheduled to take place from July 10 to October 9, 2021 on the grounds of the Festival Theatre and Royal George Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

November Dates of the Shaw Festival's Concert Series Now Available

As of October 28, the Shaw Festival's concert series will move indoors to the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre with a limit of 50 guests and safety protocols in place. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Dorothy Fields and Cole Porter, the performances run Wednesdays to Fridays at 6 p.m.​ and Saturdays at 2 p.m. from October 28 through November 20.

Shaw Festival's 2018 Season Kicks Off With The Enchantment And Magic Of THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW

All good epic adventures begin somewhere. A new adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Magician's Nephew by Michael O'Brien makes its world premiere and opens the Shaw Festival's 2018 season. Under the direction of Artistic Director Tim Carroll, the creative team and cast bring the story of Narnia's origins and its mythical multiverse to the Festival Theatre stage.
