Today theSpaceUK announces its 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Season with over 400 shows and the biggest new-writing programme at the Fringe. Daptone Records has just announced the release of its 100th 45--an unprecedented collaboration of talent from its legendary roster of artists--available June 28. The A side, 'Hey Brother,' is a song written by The Frightnrs and originally performed on their acclaimed LP, Nothing More to Say. In the wake of the tragic loss of singer Dan Klein to ALS just before the album's release, Daptone felt it would be a fitting tribute to re-imagine the tune as a soulful collaboration between the dynamic vocalists on the label. The song features Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones, Naomi Shelton, Amayo (Antibalas), Saun & Starr, and more! What started as a thank you to the label's beloved fans has now also become a loving tribute to their lost Brothers and Sister: Charles Bradley, Dan Klein, Cliff Driver, and our eternal Queen, Miss Sharon Jones.

The annual Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender presented by Muddy Roots Music will take place from Thursday, May 23rd until Sunday, May 26th in Nashville, Tennessee. Over 40 bands will perform during the festival, with the grand finale taking place on May 26th at the Gaylord Opryland Resort (click HERE for the complete lineup). Muddy Roots Music is excited to announce that his year's headliners are The B-52s, Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes, and JD McPherson.

The Boston Gay Men's Chorus (BGMC) presents God Save the Queens, a fun-filled, cheeky celebration of rock and pop royalty from across the pond. Coinciding with the start of Boston Pride Week, performances will take place Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 2, at 3 p.m. at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall in Boston.

The month of May at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is an ode to the genius of some of the greatest composers of all time, and some of today's most brilliant pianists. An all-Mozart program features revered American pianist Jeremy Denk, and celebrated Canadian piano virtuoso Louis Lortie joins the TSO for two different programs. Coastal Jazz & Blues Society announced today additional performances for the 34th annual TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival, taking place June 21 to July 1. The Festival lineup now includes headliner Herbie Hancock at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on June 29 as well as genre-bending performances from diverse, cutting-edge artists at Performance Works on Granville Island, Pyatt Hall (843 Seymour Street), and Frankie's Jazz Club (765 Beatty Street).

What with all the creativity being expressed onstage at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre during the run of the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys, it should come as no surprise that imaginations were just as active - and as fertile - backstage. Take for example, the creation of The Doo Wop Project, the six-member enclave of performers that was borne of offstage conversations and considerations among some cast members of the long-running show.
