The Muny premiere of In the Heights opens this Friday and runs through August 15. In this video, go into the rehearsal studio with Benji Santiago (Usnavi) as he performs a selection from the show's title song with Music Director/Conductor Roberto Sinha. 

The Muny has announced its full cast and design team for In the Heights, the sixth show in the theatre's 106th season, which runs Aug. 9-15 on the James S. McDonnell Stage in Forest Park. This is the musical's Muny premiere.

Benji Santiago, Ariana Burks, Alex Joseph Grayson, Alysia Velez, Nancy Ticotin, Miguel Gil, Martín Solá, Karmine Alers, Darilyn Castillo and Marlene Fernandez will star in the Muny premiere of In the Heights, which runs Aug. 9-15 on the James S. McDonnell Stage in Forest Park.

Broadway came to Long Island recently as a range of vocalists and musicians gathered to honor and induct award-winning Broadway and movie lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz into the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame on March 23rd at its Stony Brook Museum location.

Rob Maitner and some of Broadway and cabaret’s spookiest talents (along with a ghoulish trio of Sondheimhood’s creepiest musicians) collide for a night celebrating the music of two landmark musicals.

A record 16 of the 17 credited cast members are transplants from the Broadway run, including an astounding 97% of its behind-the-curtain crew.
