A searing MEASURE FOR MEASURE. Burbage Theatre Co. offers a gripping production of Shakespeare's 'problem play'

Burbage Theatre Co will present the 21st Century Rhode Island Premiere of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, directed by founding Artistic Director Jeff Church, at the Wendy Overly Studio Theatre in Pawtucket.

Playwright Jordan Harrison’s 2025 drama “The Antiquities” – being given a fine New England premiere at SpeakEasy Stage Company at the Roberts Studio Theatre in the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts through March 28 – uses history to explore where things went wrong.

Trinity Rep will stage its 49th annual production of A Christmas Carol from November 6–December 31, 2025, in the Dowling Theater. Directed by Richard and Sharon Jenkins, the production features Stephen Thorne as Scrooge.

The slick, energetic production at the Gamm Theatre gets every bit of it. This is a dazzling show, stuffed with talent in every role, and staged with panache. It is Shakespeare made accessible, and it is deliciously funny. Not to be missed.
