BWW Feature: Live Streaming Events, Archived Concerts and More Scheduled For Future Dates

The Palace Theater management in accordance with the Governor's directive to prohibit all gatherings of 50 people or more, has postponed all events and activities through April 30th.

Jazz Forum has announced show postonements due to the coronavirus outbreak:

J. Mark McVey's reference point was Broadway (mostly) with some bombast, with a band and guests, while Alexis Cole showed that less can be more with relaxed, classy jazz stylings.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are pleased to present the schedule for the month of February! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the iconic Lionel Hampton Big Band Featuring Jason Marsalis, current GRAMMY nominee Catherine Russell, the Birdland debut of AGUAS Trio with Omar Sosa, Yilian Cañizares and Gustavo Ovalles, and iconic vocalist Jane Monheit. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rachel Therrien, the Seth Weaver Big Band, and The Voice contestant Melinda Rose Rodriguez will also be performing upstairs. 

On June 14 & 15th 2019, The Westchester Collaborative Theater presents vocalist Alexis Cole in her new show Canary in Combat Boots: Memoir of a Jazz Diva in the Army featuring accomplished musicians Jim Ridl on piano and David Finck on bass.

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with Stacey Kent, Gunhild Carling Sweden's 'Queen of Swing," The Ron Aprea Big Band and Vocalist Angela DeNiro, and more!

On Sunday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m., Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents Let's Face the Music…The Timeless Songs of Fred Astaire featuring vocalists Danny Bacher and Alexis Cole, performing with an all-star jazz band led by Dr. Art Topilow on piano, with Aaron Weinstein on violin, Mike Lee on saxophone, Doug Clarke on guitar, Rudy Petschauer on percussion and Gary Mazzaroppi on bass. Special guests: two leading Broadway dancers, Cory Lingner ("On the Town," "American in Paris") and Eloise Kropp ("Dames at Sea," "CATS") choreographed by Gabriel Chajnik and Andrew Black.

Birdland Jazz Club has announced its November 2017 lineup, featuring Veronica Swift with the Benny Green Trio, Ann Hampton Callaway, Memo Acevedo, Django Reinhardt NY Festival Allstars, Thana Alexa's Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, Diane Schurr, Marcus Roberts Trio, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, and more. GOBSMACKED!, the a cappella and beatbox musical, will appear at the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) on November 14 as part of a 120-stop North American tour. This performance is the second of several free William H. Giles Concert Series performances during the CCA's 2017-18 season.

On Today, September 23rd, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) continues its Jazz Masters music series with the Alexis Cole Trio featuring one of Ossining's own, internationally renowned jazz vocalist Cole, appearing for two sets at 7:30 and 9 pm.

A dynamic duo, internationally acclaimed jazz artist Alexis Cole and Obie award-winning playwright Susan Miller (My Left Breast), are two of the headliners set to grace the stage today, September 16, at Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)'s 'Watch the Stars Come Out,' the theater group's most 'starstruck' annual fundraiser to date. The blockbuster event will feature a performance by Cole, one of Ossining's own, and remarks by Miller on her commitment to support WCT's unique mission to develop new, innovative work for the theater plus candid, insider insights on the state of theater in today's reframed market. Cole will be accompanied by Emmy nominated composer/producer and arranger Kinny Landrum of Sleepy Hollow on keyboard for the entertainment segment of the evening.
