Short+Sweet Hollywood 2024 has announced top semi-finalists in their 10-minute plays competition, with sold-out shows, industry judges, and new prizes.

CHICO'S ANGELS is set to perform a live theater comedy reading of their very first production PRETTY CHICAS ALL IN A ROW.  The one-night reading will air live on Facebook, tonight, Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 7pm PT.  The special event is bringing back most of the original cast members that played the roles on stage over 16 years ago.  It is a FREE event, so come and join in all the angelic fun of CHICO'S ANGELS.

The Short+Sweet Hollywood Festival of short plays, films and dance concluded this year's Festival competition at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in West Hollywood.

The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

The writing team of Kurt Koehler and Oscar Quintero have hilariously expanded their Chico's Angels' episode CHICO'S ANGELS 5-O WAIKIKI CHICAS from its usual cabaret form into a full-stage production. Koehler smoothly directs these three spot-on Latina drag performers inhabiting the three Chico's Angels - the 'all about me' Kay Sedia, the not-so-smart, double-entendre spouting Frieda Laye and the fake eye-lashing batting, lip-quivering Chita Parol. Their comic timing and smooth, effortless interplay's quite evident from their fifteen years of performing together.

Chico's Angels, Los Angeles cult favorite Latina drag queens, will be celebrating their Quinceanera with their Hawaiian episode CHICO'S ANGELS 5: WAIKIKI CHICAS at The Colony Theater November 15 through 18, 2018. Angels Kay Sedia, Frieda Laye, Chita Parol will be escorted and protected by their ever-present Bossman. We had the opportunity to chat with Bossman a.k.a Alejandro Patino between his CHICO's rehearsals and his film festival hopping for his indie film Papa Chulo.

This new and expanded edition of the 2015 FELIZ NAVIDIVA showcases the hilarious comic stylings and tight-knitted teamwork of Kay Sedia, with her fellow Chico's Angels, Frieda Laye and Chita Parol, as well as, sturdy support from their Boss Man. Director Kurt Koehler spoofs (with co-spoofer Kay Sedia's alter-ego Oscar Quintero) a number of songs, slickly weaving the tunes into a cohesive (and funny) behind-the-scenes, most entertaining battle of a Christmas drag revue.

Last night Chico's Angels had their own fight for the crown as four former pageant queens attended last night's performance, Keylee Sanders (Miss Teen USA 1995); Tami Farrell (Miss Teen USA 2003), Susie Castillo (Miss USA 2003) and including Chico's Angels newest cast member Miss Teen 2004, Shelley Hennig. This past weekend, TV Comedy icon George Lopez (George Lopez show; Lopez Tonight) came to see the sexy Angels: Kay Sedia (the pretty one); Chita Parol (the smart one) and Frieda Laye (the 'friendly' one) at CHICO'S ANGELS.
