ABC will air “Notre-Dame: Our Lady of Paris,” a moving two-hour documentary special featuring shocking first-hand accounts of the Notre-Dame cathedral’s infamous 2019 fire

Today on “Good Morning America,” they debuted the all-new key art featuring host and executive producer Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel is making sure everyone is following all safety protocols for television's biggest night…even Emmy herself! The “72nd Emmy® Awards” will broadcast SUNDAY, SEPT. 20 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT/5:00-8:01 p.m. PDT), on ABC.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that the 93rd Academy Awards telecast has been postponed until April 25, 2021. According to Variety, the ceremony has been postponed two months. 

ABC announced today a brand-new concert special from record-breaking global superstar Taylor Swift, “Taylor Swift City of Lover Concert,” airing Sunday, May 17 at 10:00p.m. ET, immediately following the season finale of “American Idol.”

David Alan Grier was a guest on Monday's episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan to talk about starring in A Soldier's Play on Broadway. During the interview, Grier talks about how this is his third round with the show, as he previously starred in the off-Broadway production and the film adaptation.

ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announced today that the network has picked up “The Brides,” a new drama from executive producer/writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television to pilot.  Maggie Kiley (“American Horror Story,” “Riverdale,” upcoming “Katy Keene”) is set to direct.

ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is set to welcome the director and cast of the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” in a special prime-time show airing MONDAY, DEC. 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST). “Jimmy Kimmel Live After Darth: A Star Wars Special” will feature director JJ Abrams and cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran and Keri Russell.

ABC Entertainment and Fremantle announced today that actor and comedian Joel McHale is set to return as host of “Card Sharks,” the suspenseful game where a fortune can be won on the turn of a single playing card! The show was recently picked up for a second season and is set to air in 2020. 

The Hollywood Reporter (THR) today announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Ronan Farrow will receive the Equity in Entertainment Award at its annual Women in Entertainment breakfast gala on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. The honor, which recognizes an individual who has worked against gender-based discrimination and toward greater inclusion of women and people of color in the entertainment industry, will be presented by former Fox News anchor, whistleblower and journalist Gretchen Carlson.

Following a wildly successful run last summer that propelled ABC to rank No. 1 across all key adult demos, the network has announced the return of seven shows from its popular “Summer Fun & Games” lineup, including “The $100,000 Pyramid” (season five), “Card Sharks” (season two), “Celebrity Family Feud” (season six), “Match Game” (season five), “Press Your Luck” (season two), “To Tell the Truth” (season five), and as previously announced, the second season of “Holey Moley.”

In an event of galactic proportions, ABC's prime-time series will pay tribute to 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge' during fall premiere week and beyond. Viewers will be treated to on-air mentions and surprises from the Star Wars universe, beginning tomorrow night (Tuesday, Sept. 24) with the award-winning comedy 'black-ish' and ending next Monday (Sept. 30) with 'Dancing with the Stars.'

ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announced today that ABC has secured the rights to Mitchell Zuckoff's bestselling book “Fall and Rise: The Story of 9/11.” In order to commemorate and honor the 20th anniversary of the events of September 11, the network will develop a limited series based on the Harper Collins book in 2021. The series will be produced by Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment and executive produced by Erwin Stoff and Richard Abate of 3 Arts as well as Mitchell Zuckoff.

ABC has just announced that THE LITTLE MERMAID LIVE will air Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. as part of The Wonderful World of Disney. Auli'i Cravalho, of Moana fame, will star as Ariel. Queen Latifah will star as Ursula and Shaggy will play Sebastian. No additional casting has been announced at this time.
