Returning for a third year, Peckham Fringe is back for 2024! This performing arts festival will take place at Theatre Peckham, showcasing a lineup of over 20 outstanding artists and creatives from the local London community. With groundbreaking emerging writers, moving new musicals, clowning and spoken word, it’s the festival for everyone.  

This December, Theatre Peckham is back with another spectacular production that will captivate audiences of all ages. Get ready for a hair-raising adventure as we present a modern-day twist on the classic tale of Rapunzel.

Theatre Peckham’s iconic annual Christmas show reunites playwright Geoff Aymer with Artistic Director Suzann McLean for the third time, delivering a fun-filled musical-inspired, pantoesque remix of a classic tale. The annual show’s signature blend of storytelling, dance 

Unseen Unheard is based on the lived breast cancer experiences of women from Black Women Rising. Set in real time on a normal evening, six women gather to unravel their shared experiences of the abnormality that Black women experience through their diagnosis.

Musical Theatre Network (MTN), which brings people and resources together to improve opportunities for new musical theatre, is thrilled to announce its new patron - HOWARD GOODALL CBE, one of Britain's best-known composers of choral music, stage musicals, TV and film scores, and a distinguished music historian and broadcaster.

Theatre Peckham is bringing Peckham Fringe back for its second year in 2023, hosting 18 productions that will take over the main theatre and studio space for five weeks. Last year's Peckham Fringe was highly successful, with Tatenda Shamiso's No ID going on to run at VAULT Festival and the Royal Court, and David Alade's Offie nominated Sunny Side Up having a three-week run at Theatre Peckham.

Theatre Peckham are pressing replay on the critically acclaimed production of Sunny Side Up written and performed by David Alade (The Fisherman: National Tour, The Fields: Sky, Casualty: BBC). Following on from its sold-out run at Peckham Fringe in 2022, this lyrical piece, blending drama and poetry, transfers to the main stage for a three-week run.

Suzann McLean, CEO and Artistic Director of Theatre Peckham has been named Arts and Media Senior Leader of the Year at the ninth Black British Business Awards.

For the fourth year, Theatre Peckham presents its Young, Gifted & Black season, an annual event which celebrates people from the African diaspora over five weeks.

This October, Theatre Peckham launches its five-week programme unapologetically celebrating people from the African diaspora through a variety of artforms. A total of ten events, presented by nine artists and companies, explore themes which touch on identity, friendship, loss, self-discovery and Black Womanhood. 

Theatre Peckham has announced its Autumn/Winter Season and unveils the title of this year’s Christmas Show. The programme from September 2022 to March 2023 includes the Premiere of two new powerful dramas which bookend the season.
