HAMILTON's Javier Munoz Honored at 2016 HOLA Awards Tonight

The Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA), the nation's longest running active arts advocacy organization for Latino actors, will honor performers Javier Muñoz (currently playing the title role of Alexander Hamilton in the runaway hit Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton), Modesto Lacen (of the hit telenovelas 'Celia' and 'La esclava blanca'); and ABC News Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst Sunny Hostin (also an official contributor/guest co-host of ABC's 'The View') at the 2016 HOLA Awards, the Seventeenth Annual HOLA Awards Gala and Benefit.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, former New York Ranger Sean Avery has quit just two days before the November 6 opening of his off-Broadway play NEGATIVE IS POSITIVE at Theater for the New City.

Theater For The New City presents the world premiere of Christy-Smith Sloman's provocative new play Negative Is Positive. This production is also the New York stage debut of Sean Avery, former NHL star, New York Ranger and LGBT advocate. The cast also features Karen Eilbacher, Joshua Zirger, Vivienne Jurado and Fulton Hodges. Opening night is November 6th at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage below!

Theater For The New City will present the world premiere of Christy-Smith Sloman's provocative new play Negative is Positive. This contemporary dramedy center's on a newly married interacial, upwardly mobile couple who's seemingly idyllic life is shattered by a shocking incident. Along with another couple, the unexpected incident forces them to explore issues of trust, failed expectations, jealousy, race and the true nature of their love. This production is also the New York stage debut of Sean Avery, former NHL star, New York Ranger and LGBT advocate. The cast also features Karen Eilbacher, Joshua Zirger, Vivienne Jurado and Fulton Hodges. Opening night is November 6th at 8pm.
