BIO
Sheer Aviram is an actress, writer, and director based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Israel, she crossed the ocean to pursue her passion for performance, graduating from the prestigious three-year conservatory program at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City (Class of 2014). In Los Angeles, she sharpened her comedic chops, both in writing and performance, at The Upright Citizens Brigade.

Inspired by conversations Rosenbaum had with Israeli violin maker Amnon Weinstein, the International City Theatre in Long Beach is presenting the American premiere of The Violin Maker, a new play based on the true story of how he gathered and restored ruined violins that survived the Holocaust to create the remarkable collection known throughout the world as the “Violins of Hope.” I decided to speak with playwrights Lisa Pearl Rosenbaum and Ronda Spinak (artistic director of The Braid) about the play’s creation and history, especially why it is so important to tell the Violins of Hope maker’s story.

Now, the Playhouse is giving love back with its Eighth Annual Binge Free Festival, five weeks of free performances, workshops, and music in Santa Monica's ONLY fringe festival. The BFF's primary focus is on Santa Monica and Los Angeles-based artists, but there will be exciting international artists on view as well.
