Critics use the word “well” often when describing the arts. Something is “well-written,” “well performed,” “well-acted,” “well thought-out.” RAGTIME, which runs Sept. 22-Oct. 1 at the Lincoln Theatre (769 E. Long Street in downtown Columbus), is all of those things, and more.

David Glover is out to disprove the adage of “Those who can’t do, teach” when he takes on the role of Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Columbus Children’s Theatre production of RAGTIME THE MUSICAL. On Wednesday May 11th, 2018 Evolution Theatre Company hosted a staged reading of Charles Busch's The Lady In Question to benefit their 2018 Season. A freewheeling satire of patriotic 1940s thrillers. A glamorous concert pianist is challenged when a handsome American professor engages her aid in rescuing his mother from a Nazi prison. The reading was be held in the Schottenstein Property Group Pavilion of the Columbus Museum of Art.

The story of seventeen year old Cal and his quest to prove the secret sexual history of Mr. Lincoln. Along the way there is convincing evidence, time travel, a road trip to the nation's capital, budding high-school romance, a crazy Mary Todd and sex in a stove-pipe hat.

A distinguished politician's youthful indiscretions come to light in 'An Ideal Husband,' Oscar Wilde's sophisticated satire. Sir Robert Chiltern's political career and marriage are put to the test as the true nature of his virtue is revealed. His problem is compounded by his wife's intolerance of the slightest character flaw. Wilde's classic comedy features two of his best characters, the deliciously sly Mrs. Cheveley and the wonderfully witty Lord Goring.

In 1982, Actors' Theatre of Columbus (ATC) kicked off its first season with a single production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The success of that season proved that Schiller Park was an excellent venue for open air Shakespearean theater, and the troupe has continued this tradition for 35 years. 'To Tell the Truth,' Actors' Theatre's 2016 season, features four plays that ask questions about how far relationships can be strained and even broken by dishonesty, falsehood and slander.

The annual All-Ohio Show is one of the most exciting projects that the Ohio EdTA offers to Thespians in Ohio. Each Thespian troupe may send up to six registered, inducted Thespians to audition for the cast and six registered, inducted Thespians to interview for crew positions. Once chosen, cast and crew only have three rehearsal/build weekends and one and a half days of tech/dress rehearsals in which to create an amazing production. The All-Ohio show is the featured opening show of the Ohio EdTA State Conference. The All-Ohio show intends to provide participating students with the experience of working on an advanced level of theatrical production. Involvement in the All-Ohio show is a special honor for the participants and schools, as well as an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
