Dances for a Variable Population will present its 2025 summer production of REVIVAL 9: Neighborhood Stories—a free, outdoor, site-specific dance series celebrating the lives, histories, and cultural legacies of older New Yorkers across the city.
Infusing the essence of iconic dance works by master choreographers of the 20th century, Dances for a Variable Population (DVP) will lead two performances and workshops of Revival 8: Then and Now.
Released on HBO Max kicking off celebration of Black History Month. The documentary traces the origin in Africa and follows the evolution through each decade and genre while exploring and commenting on the political and social influences that shaped the artistry of today.
