Playwright Jon Spano explores one man's personal struggle to reinvent his identity in the face of mortality in his new play Dennis. Directed by Aaron Salazar and starring Patrick Boyd, with original music by Manuel Pelayo and Giancarlo Bonfanti, this contemporary story about finding connection through self-discovery will play Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios & Theatres (244 West 54th Street), for a limited engagement from March 26 through April 5. Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its 46th Winter Mainstage Season with the Florida Premiere of the uplifting, five-time Tony-nominated musical, Bright Star. Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati opens its 2019-2020 arts season with the regional premiere of Fun Home a?" a memoir musical based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, with lyrics and book by Lisa Kron and music by Jeanine Tesori. Set in New York City, THE CONCRETE JUNGLE is a modern romantic musical comedy inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac. In this musical "catfish", aspiring poet Abby Burgess slings drinks at the Concrete Jungle Bar & Grill to pay off her student loans. Upon suffering a bout of writer's block, Abby gets a phone call from a panic-stricken Canadian writer guy named Guy that changes her life forever. She begins imagining the inner lives of her customers that sparks her writing to take on a new topic for her…love. But, after Abby describes herself as her friend Vanessa, will Guy professes his love to the wrong woman, or will Abby face her greatest fears and reveal her true self?

Eagle Theatre's production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years has received its share of critical acclaim and standing ovations, with audiences hailing from all over the Delaware Valley and beyond.

The Last 5 Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about a man and a woman who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The musical's unconventional structure consists of an aspiring actress Cathy Hiatt (played by Jenna Pastuszek) telling her story backwards, while budding novelist Jamie Wellerstein (played by Max Meyers) tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Eagle Theatre's production of Jason Robert Brown's 2002 Drama Desk Award Winner, The Last Five Years, opens June 1st, 2018.
