Ordway to Present TRAVIS WALL'S SHAPING SOUND: DANCE REIMAGINED, 10/14

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts has announced that Travis Wall's Shaping Sound: Dance Reimagined, one of North America's hottest new dance shows, will come to the Ordway for a special one-night-only performance on Friday, Oct. 14. Tickets, which are now on sale, start at $38 and can be purchased online at www.ordway.org, by phone at 651-224-4222 or in person at the Ordway ticket office.
SHAPING SOUND to Perform at Beacon Theatre for One Night Only

Break the Floor Productions has announced that SHAPING SOUND, the country's hottest commercial dance company, will conclude their 2015-2016 tour with a one night only performance at The Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway, New York, NY 10023). Conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award® winner and Kennedy Center Honoree Twyla Tharp (Movin' Out) and by special arrangement with the Frank Sinatra Family and Frank Sinatra Enterprises, Come Fly Away blends the legendary vocals of Frank Sinatra with a live on-stage big band and 14 of the world's finest dancers. The show's score combines classic and newly discovered vocal performances from the Sinatra archives, along with Sinatra's signature arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Quincy Jones, among others, and brand new charts, for this fresh innovative musical. Press night will take place on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m.

The new Broadway musical and U.S. National Tour of COME FLY AWAY, conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, made its Los Angeles debut at the Pantages Theatre Tuesday, October 25 for a strictly-limited 2 week engagement thru November 6, 2011. Michael Sterling, co-producer and Los Angeles correspondent for Broadway World TV, along with Associate Producer Jerry Evans of the JLE Media Group, Inc. covered the evening's festivities. The star-studded guest list included many of the late Sinatra's celebrity friends and family members. After attending the performance, Sterling said 'In short, the show is an intoxicating marriage of pure harmony and wedded bliss.'

Broadway's WONDERLAND will play its final performance this Sunday, May 15 at 3pm at the Marquis Theatre. As of that date the show will have played 31 previews and 33 regular performances. WONDERLAND began previews Monday, March 21 and opened Sunday, April 17.
